50,000feet is honored to announce the sixth edition of Designing Brand Identity will feature a case study of our partnership with BCG in developing the BCG X brand identity. The book will be released in early 2024.

The featured spread provides a strategic case study overview for the launch of BCG X, BCG’s tech build and design unit. 50,000feet developed BCG X’s brand identity system and created brand guidelines and templates to use across the brand’s digital platforms and communication channels.

Alina Wheeler, an internationally recognized expert on brand strategy and design, authored the first five editions, which feature some of the most seminal and influential strategic brand identity systems of the past decades. From research and analysis through brand strategy, design development through application design, and identity standards through launch and governance, Designing Brand Identity offers brand managers, marketers, and designers a proven, universal five-phase process for creating and implementing effective brand identity. Designing Brand Identity has been translated into 11 languages and used in undergraduate and graduate courses, agencies and client-side marketing organizations worldwide. The book features more than 50 case studies.

Wheeler selected Rob Myerson, a San Francisco-based brand strategist, to curate, compile, author and edit the sixth edition. Myerson chose to feature work by 50,000feet based on the consistent caliber of our work.
