Design is an integral tool that connects communities and creates equity, which is why a free and accessible Museum focused on design is incredibly important for Chicago’s residents and visitors.
As a founding partner, we’re proud to announce that it’s been an exciting year for the Chicago Design Museum. First off, they’re no longer the Chicago Design Museum. With a new name—Design Museum of Chicago—and an evolved mission to inspire, educate and innovate through design, they’ve doubled the size of their membership and launched a new board of directors, which includes 50k President and Principal Jim Misener. The latest show, Keep Moving: Designing Chicago’s Bicycle Culture, is mounted at their new location at Expo 72, a highly visible, street-level venue made possible through partnership with the City of Chicago. In 2019, the momentum builds with even more events and exhibitions. We invite you to support the phenomenal programming that the Design Museum of Chicago gives to not only Chicago but to everyone.
A $25 donation provides free admission for five visitors and keeps the Design Museum free and open to the public. Donations made before December 31 will be matched dollar-for-dollar (up to $10,000) by 50k. Please join us in celebrating the power of design, and give now.
